    I believe this answer is incorrect in the book. P could be 0 in which case it is neither odd nor even. Therefore, it cannot be determined from the information provided whether P is even and the answer should be E.

      Hi,

      0 is an even integer. It is neither positive nor negative, but 0 is considered an even integer. And the case for p=0, still falls under p being even. I hope this helps.
